The Joy of Good Food

Only three more weeks of market time to stock up for winter! In addition to grabbing your favorite PRFM treats for the months ahead, you can also consider buying your own fruit tree—check out the Atlanta Local Food Initiative’s booth this Saturday to find out how. And remember, Peachtree Road Farmers Market is open from 9am to 12pm every Saturday through December 15th, so come on by for all of your holiday needs—we’ve got food, gifts, or even food gifts (joy achieved).

Chef Demo with Anne Quatrano
of Bacchanalia — 10:00 a.m. on 12/1
Chef Demos are sponsored by
Whole Foods Market
Kick off your December in the finest fashion—by learning from our city’s best (Bacchanalia wasn’t just named by Zagat as Atlanta's top restaurant for the 18th consecutive year for no reason, y’all). You won’t want to miss tips and tastes from Atlanta’s own farm-to-table visionary, Anne Quatrano. Together with her husband, award-winning chef Clifford Harrison, she operates six of Atlanta’s most celebrated restaurants including Bacchanalia, Floataway CafĂ©, Star Provisions, Provisions To Go, Quinones at Bacchanalia, and Abattoir. Her love for local, organic produce began at an early age, coming down from New England to visit her mother’s family farm Summerland, near Cartersville, Georgia. Anne is now the fifth generation to live on the farm and many of her restaurants’ ingredients are grown right there. Her meticulous attention to detail and pride in her ingredients results in true perfection. Join Anne this Saturday and learn how to wow all of your holiday guests!

Coming soon…

Chef Demo with Joe Truex
of Watershed – 10:00 a.m. on 11/17

Chef Demos are sponsored by
Whole Foods Market
We fell in love with Chef Joe Truex at Repast and followed him down Ponce and back up again to his recent post at Watershed. There, he lends his Louisiana style to old favorites and his creative touch to new Southern inspirations. His culinary background includes training in New Orleans at Fairmont Hotel, graduating from The Culinary Institute of America in New York, working at the original Le Cirque under Chef Daniel Boulud, as well as stints in Basel, Switzerland and Las Vegas. We’re oh-so-glad that Chef Truex is now just a couple of blocks down from PRFM, bringing his knowledge of food and wine to bear on an ever-wonderful, ever-expanding Southern table.

Also this week…
Kids Learning Patch
8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Sponsored by The Captain Planet Foundation
